Vocal Courses at London Music School
At London Music School we offer a variety of vocal courses: from our one year Btec National Award in Music Performance, to our own LMS Certificate Courses that run for both six months and one year. We also run a variety of part time courses; and a fun but academic Summer Course. All of our courses are unique, placing an emphasis on each individual student’s personal interests, preferences and requirements for development.
Directed by Anton Brown and Irene Serra, vocal performers and teachers with many years of both academic and performing experience: the course takes the student on a journey from general music education to the more practical study of the voice. Anton and Irene are experienced and highly skilled in a wide range of styles, meaning that all students will have the opportunity to not only focus on their genre of choice; but also widen their range, thus becoming more well-rounded musicians. The course places emphasis on the need to perform and students will gain experience in areas of solo performance, session singing, stage presence and singing in a band.
Vocal Subjects
All of our full time vocal courses contain all the usual skills associated with singing: breath control, intonation, range, interval training and performance; plus one-to-one tuition, group workshops, live performance, improvisation workshops, recording sessions, songwriting, harmony and theory, sight-reading, backing vocals and more.Please select from the Vocal course menu on the right for more information.
